MP By-election Results 2020 Live Updates: Beginning with postal ballot and followed by EVMs, the counting of votes for the by-elections to 28 Assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh will begin from 8am today. A total of 355 candidates, including 12 ministers, are in the fray in these bypolls. The BJP needs to win at least eight of these 28 seats to retain power and attain a simple majority in the 230-member Assembly, whose effective strength is 229.
